Alabama BNF helps you fulfill the call of God on your life. As a health care professional you can serve the Great Physician with other Alabama BNF members
  • through ministry and missions opportunities
  • Christian professional fellowship and encouragement
  • information and ideas to use your professional skills and talents in your church, in your community, and to the uttermost parts of the world.
We want to extend congratulations to the new Alabama BNF team members who were elected at the BNF annual October retreat, DeRenda Anderson is our new Membership Team leader and Sylvia Brooks is the Historical Team leader. See the sidebar for a complete list of team leaders and their contact information.

Take time to look over the 2009 ministry projects and plan to participate in the one closest to you. If you are unable to participate in a project consider helping provide supplies or refreshments. Practice a "Come, Go with Me" attitude and ask a co-worker to join you in ministry through Alabama BNF.

It's time to renew your annual membership in Alabama BNF.  Click here for a renewal form.

Take time to pause this season and thank God for the blessings of this past year and take courage that He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope. May the focus of your Christmas be Jesus!

Meeting the Health Needs of the Church Community...by Linda Austin
Providing a health care screening for the community can be an outreach to the people in your area. You can discover spiritual and material needs and increase awareness for your church in the community. Follow these steps to plan your health screening:
  • Contact your local hospital and see what support they can provide for a free health screening at your church.
  • Schedule music groups to provide entertainment in the fellowship hall or sanctuary of the church while the health screening takes place.
  • Provide health education flyers and prizes. Flyers can be obtained from your local health department.
  • Make plans for a registration table, registration cards, and volunteers to register those who will be screened. You can collect valuable contact information and discover spiritual and material needs.
  • Enlist volunteers to be greeters and volunteers to provide healthy snacks.
  • Promote with flyers placed in stores , community centers, and other prominent places in the community.

A health screening is a valuable tool to help your church meet people and meet their needs.
