Micropoets across the globe are rejoicing, thanks to Twitter. And why not? It's the perfect forum for tiny verses. Even the Sun Microsystems CEO resigned earlier this year with a haiku tweet. Some people complain that Twitter haiku lacks quality. Others wonder why poets don't always follow the 5-7-5 syllable rule (thankfully, you don't have to!). In any case, Twitter is helping to keep Japanese short form poetry alive, and we're glad that our Christina Nguyen is out there sharpening her poetic skills. You can find her tweeting poetry as @TinaNguyen, and later this fall, you can read one of her poems in the 2010 Haiku Society of America Members' Anthology. Curious?
