Named to Destination & Travel Foundation Board

Mark W. Thompson, director of the Plano Convention & Visitors Bureau, was recently appointed to serve on the board of trustees for the Destination & Travel Foundation, formerly the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) Foundation.

The Destination & Travel Foundation is a complementary organization to both DMAI and the U.S. Travel Association with a goal to prepare the travel industry to deal with the rapidly changing business environment. The organization continues to tackle the most pressing issues of the day and the vexing problems ahead by bringing together industry leaders and experts in various fields to determine innovative and creative strategies.

Congratulations, Mark, on the appointment to this very important industry board.
