Help Bring the Shuttle Home
TTIA supports Space Center Houston's bid to house one of the retiring Space Shuttles, either Endeavor or Atlantis, as part of its permanent display.
While Discovery is bound for the Smithsonian, more than 20 museums across the US are competing for Endeaver or Atlantis.
The Space Shuttle program is a part of Houston's character and identity. NASA Johnson Space Center currently attracts over 750,000 visitors a year and is ranked one of Texas' top tourist attractions.
Securing a space shuttle is estimated to impact the regional economy by $45 million per year as well as generate $29 million in business value and create more than 750 jobs.
The shuttle cannot be secured without your support. Please visit www.bringtheshuttlehome.com in order to sign the petition to President Obama to secure a shuttle for Houston.
