 TTIA staff members traveled to the beautiful city of Corpus Christi last week for our annual Texas Travel Fair, as well as a Cultural and Heritage Tourism Seminar, and a TTIA board meeting. Not only was the weather perfect, we also had very successful events, and it was a pleasure as always to see our members in person. Thank you to our host city, our event sponsors, and to all who participated as attendees or exhibitors!

Regional Tourism Workshops
Registration Now Open for First Two Dates!
Who Should Attend: Local
governments,
convention and visitor bureaus, chambers of commerce,
lodging facilities, attractions, restaurants, retail establishments and
others involved in local tourism. Each workshop will provide
information that benefits seasoned industry veterans and industry
newcomers alike. Attendees will leave with new ideas and practical
tools.
We'll also be coming to Bandera and Lufkin later on in the year, for a total of 4 workshops.

Who's Your Pick for the 2010 Tall in Texas Award?
We're now accepting
nominations for TTIA's Tall in Texas Award, an honor recognizing a TTIA member
who has made outstanding contributions to both the tourism industry in
Texas and to the
association. Nominate an employee or colleague by June
30th for this prestigious award, to be presented at Travel Summit in Galveston this September.
