Welcome to the April edition of The Marbleous Monthly.  

 

Marbles is getting wild! Born to be Wild 3D is opening at the Wachovia IMAX Theatre, we are sprouting a new solar exhibit, Power Flower, and we are excited to "re-live our school days" with Family Field Day. Have some fun in and with the sun at Marbles this month!

Join us for a big day of tiny science! NanoDays is a nationwide festival about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. In addition to play and discovery in the museum, families can enjoy a low-volume showing of Born to be Wild 3D in IMAX at 7:00pm.  Family Fun Night is free and exclusively for kids with special needs and their families.

Marbles has sprouted a 22-foot tall giant flower that's powered by the sun! We call it the POWER FLOWER and you'll find it planted in Castaway Cove Kids Garden. Come experiment to see how solar energy makes the POWER FLOWER move and join in other activities to celebrate Earth Day, when everything at Marbles revolves around the sun. Watch as tales come to life through performances by the Tarheel Tale Tellers. For 15 years the Tarheel Tale Tellers, a renowned children's literature performance company, have performed new adaptations of contemporary children's illustrated books. Each performance is unique.

SidewaysStoriesSelections from Sideways Stories from Wayside School

Sunday, May 1 | 1:00pm and 2:00pm

Counting to 100 alphabetically! Talking pigtails! Teachers turning students into apples! The Pickle Jar Players will present theatrical reading selections from Raleigh Little Theatre's production of Sideways Stories from Wayside School, the best-selling series for the elementary kids. Raleigh Little Theatre will offer a full stage production of the play in May.

Preschool's Out Camp is a daily, morning camp available during the week of April 18-22. This is a great time to relax, run errands or have brunch with your friends!
