Moneypalooza Opens January 26 A fun new exhibit promoting healthy money habits. Through big imagination and interactive play, kids practice earning money and making smart choices about how to spend, save and share it.
In Banker Ben & Betty's action-packed PIGGY BANK, kids stack, deposit, withdraw and disburse, discovering that little bits of savings add up.
PAY DAY is packed with earning options - from opening up a lemonade stand to pet sitting for Aunt Polly to making and baking pizzas.
SPENDING SMARTS features playful decision-making games to encourage smart money choices. Kids build budgets, balance needs and wants and aim high to save.

Canstruction Open January 18 - February 14Explore a giant land of 3D cartoon heroes built entirely out of canned and packaged food! Architectural and design firms display creativity, ingenuity and heroics in their labor of working to fight hunger can by can.
Canstruction Build Out Day | Saturday, January 16Watch teams construct gigantic cartoon heroes out of canned food."Can Opener" | Saturday, January 23Enjoy this fun-filled family day celebrating the opening of Canstruction 2010: Cartoon Heroes.Donations of canned food are encouraged throughout the run of the exhibit. During opening weekend, January 23-24, receive one free admission to the museum for every five (5) canned goods donated. All food collected and used in building the can structures will be donated to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.
