Beowulf 2All Cub Scouts wearing their blue Cub Scout uniforms on Saturday or Sunday, May 30 or 31, will receive $2 off tickets to see NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience. Discount applies to one youth ticket per uniformed Cub Scout. Tickets must be purchased on site.
 

Marbles Night at the MuseumFriday, June 12

Find out what happens when the sun goes down and the marbles light up. Do pirates roam the seven seas in Splash? Are firemen and farmers playing tag in Around Town? Marbles Night at the Museum is the perfect all-in-one evening of museum mayhem for the whole family, starting with the blockbuster sequel Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, followed by a one-time chance to experience the fun of the museum "after dark".

Pre-registration is required. Cost is $16 per adult (12 and older) and $14 per youth (1-11). Includes movie, concessions and museum activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of one (1) are free but must sit in the lap of a parent or guardian during the film.

DIY with Dad

Dig it, doze it, design it, develop it..."Do It Yourself" with Dad on Father's Day at Marbles
From the ground to the sky, explore design and building throughout the museum. Climb into the driver's seat of a bulldozer and dig in our pint-sized sandpit. Design your own house or skyscraper and build it with recycled materials to help create a KidCity. You'll discover LOADS of things to dig, doze, build and smoosh...so you might want to wear your work boots!

While children enjoy the museum, parents have the chance to explore First Fridays galleries and restaurants in downtown Raleigh. Discover Your Inner Kid at Marbles!
Marbles Kids Museum is seeking a Group Sales Research and Logistics Intern. This internship follows the process of a group visit from research and sales to implementation. The intern will execute logistics throughout a group visit while helping to create, design and implement the role of group host. Research possibilities include database integrity and fulfillment, curriculum guidelines and pacing as well as county budgets and school board decisions. The intern must be at least 18 years of age. LocoPops LocoPops offers Mexican-style popsicles called paletas - a quick and inexpensive treat on a warm day. Located in the central courtyard between the Museum and IMAX Theatre, LocoPops is open Tuesday thru Saturday 11:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm - 5:00pm.
