  • The economy continues to struggle to regain its footing. There are some signs of recovery but some ominous signs as well. The stock market has regained some of its luster but still has a long way to go. The DJIA closed above 10,000 yesterday for the first time this year. The jobless rate continues to climb and is nearing 10%.

From where I sit, companies are starting to schedule training and are starting to hire to be ready when the economy decides to grow. We have had companies restore some training that was scheduled for 2009. That is a good sign. They realize that now is the time to train and be ahead of the competition when things start to move.

It is even more important to use hiring assessments to ensure you are selecting the right candidate for the job. There are a lot of candidates to choose from. How do you know who you are selecting if you don't use an assessment that provides you with objective data about the candidate that you can't get in an interview? What the assessment does is help you focus that interview.

If you are not using the ProfileXT or the Profiles Sales Assessment, please contact us for an opportunity to learn more about it. You can go to our site at www.hirethe rightperson.com and read more about it. Or you can go to our website at www.imrtn. com.

The ProfileXT can also be used for your current staff to better understand them and how to be sure you are tapping into their talents and strengths! Remember that the difference in productivity between an average hire and an excellent one is 30-40%! None of us tries to hire an average worker. Let us help you do a better job of selecting the right person for the job.

Hope your company is getting past the recession and is on the cusp of reaching new heights. Let us know how we can help.

    New Workplace Engagement Survey

"Employee engagement first. It goes without saying that no company, small or large, can survive over the long run without energized employees who believe in the mission and understand how to achieve it".

Source: Business Week Online: May 8, 2006, How Healthy Is Your Company? By Jack and Susie Welch.

What is the Alternative to Employee Engagement?

    • Higher employee turnover
    • Diminished performance
    • Lost training dollars
    • Lower morale

Benefits of an engaged workforce include:

    • Retention rates increase
    • Innovation and collaboration are enhanced
    • Customer satisfaction levels increase
    • Over time, the results are reflected in concrete bottom line results, share value and ROI

You can conduct a Workplace Engagement Survey rather quickly and at a cost of just $9 per employee. Contact us and we'll provide you with the specifics.

Now is the time to find out how engaged is your workforce.
