 Many of you joined us for 2nd Saturday-Wellness Works in August, so we could help you figure out your formula for healthy living and a happy, balanced life. We hope you'll join us again for Wellness Works on September 8 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We'll be offering a chair massage or Reiki with Diane Curry for $1.00 a minute.
Our neighbors at Thrive Yoga are offering a Foot Ionizer detox, Angel Readings, Astrology Readings, Emotion Code Healing sessions and Food Sensitivity testing.
Our neighbors at Kaleidoscope Angels will have lots of one-day specials and Angel Readings by Marie Killgore.

An Olympic Phenomenon - Kinesio Taping®
 Did you notice the colorful strips of tape many of the 2012 Summer Olympians - such as Kerri Walsh from the US Women's Volleyball team - were wearing?
Although they were indeed quite colorful, these bands of tape are NOT the latest fad in athletic fashion. These athletes were using Kinesio Taping® to help facilitate the body's natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion.
And Kinesio Taping® isn't just for athletes. It can be used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions.
Kinesio® Tex Tape, which is what we use at Massage & Bodywork Centers, was introduced by a chiropractor in the 1970's. It provides the same amount of elasticity as healthy human muscle and lifts the skin microscopically.

Kids and Stress
 Between the pressures of school - tests, threats to their safety, bullying, and peer pressure - to the stresses of life - family breakups, raging hormones, and violence on TV, in games and even on the streets - kids today are faced with more stress than ever. And in addition to increasing stress, they may also have to deal with sports muscle strain, backpack hunch, computer neck crick, exhaustion, and even texting thumbs. (Can you imagine!?!)
Massage and reflexology are perfect for the relief of physical and emotional stress of today's active Tots, Tweens, and Teens.
Research shows the benefits of massage and reflexology include relief from: social stress, sports muscle strain, PMS, tension headaches, asthma, moodiness, exhaustion, anxiety, depression, sinus issues, and ADD/ADHD. In addition, it can help improve mental focus and digestion.
All of the therapists at Massage and Bodywork Centers offer half-hour massage or reflexology treatments for children under 18 years of age for just $25 through our Tots, Tweens, and Teens program. A parent or guardian must be present during the session and the child can remain fully clothed if he/she chooses.
Parents may even learn a trick or two that they can try at home to continue helping to ease the stresses of their child's everyday life.
