Dear Ones,
2012, our year of Expansive Vibration, has started out with an amazing energy in this community. If you've been here, what's your "vibe rate" now? I'll bet it's gone up since the year began. It feels as though we were ready for something to accelerate, and that the readiness actually caused the acceleration to occur.
Creating the next moment is precisely what the Law is doing, in our lives and in the universe, always. And it's what we reenact with our thinking, being and doing, always. So the next time some- one asks you, "What'cha doin'?" you can answer: "Creating my future!"
The truth of the matter is, we are doing this whether we are aware of it or not. How wonderful to have a place to come where we can be reminded of and supported in this Truth (and remind and support others), and where we can experiment in a safe environment with using the Laws of God to our benefit.... and to make the world a better place.
Classes are beginning this week and for the next couple of weeks. Take into your contemplation time whether now is the right time to deepen your journey of awakening by enrolling...for deeper you will go if you enroll! If not, continue your commitment to being present on Sundays and/or Wednesdays. Most Wednesdays are quite devotional in tone, and our new Meditation Service on Sunday morning (9:15) is a brilliant way to start your week. The Sunday Celebration Service at 10:00 has been a rollicking good time since the first of the year, and it will continue to add a lift and a light to your day and your week.
So, what'cha doin' for the rest of your life? Come, create with us.
See you at the Center!
In joy,

It's a time of going within; of listening to God; a time of being heard and supported through prayer; a time of letting the music infuse your body and allowing the words to become a prayer of the heart; a time of claiming the Truth of who you are. It's a night of Oneness, as we come together remembering we are that inseparable presence of God.

FROM YOUR CORE COUNCIL
Kelly Sanders

Hi Everyone!
Hasn't the past 10 days just been simply amazing?! You might have noticed a shift is happening - I know I've observed it in the Center and in myself personally. I was in Washington with my parents over Christmas and didn't get to participate in person in the Season of Light services. I did, however, watch them on our Livestream feed (livestream.com/cslglv) and was so impressed with the music and the descriptions of the world traditions. I thought the service really spoke to who and what we are as Religious Scientists.
New Year's weekend was fabulous, starting with the clearing ceremony at 6:30 a.m. - yes, I really was there...a major surprise to all of you who know that mornings are not necessarily some- thing I participate in if I can avoid it! I was able to assist the Center release that which no longer served, and bring in new energy and intentions for this year. Funny, the same thing happened for me personally: I released and I claimed new energy and intents for myself. In part because of the clearing and then the Sunday Meditation and Celebration Services, I was flying all day and had a wonderful time singing and dancing around the house.
The New Year's brunch provided by Rebecca and Larry Montoya was fun and yummy! It was a wonderful kick off for the "Gourmets for God" FUNraiser events. I hope you all are participating in one form or another, as it is a fabulous way to get to know more people in our community and know them at a totally different level then seeing each other at services. A huge THANK YOU to the Montoyas and everyone who assisted them.
All these changes may seem sudden; however, they have actually been cooking for awhile, and the time has come for everything to coming together. When I was appointed to the Core Council in August, I had no idea that our Center would look so different in such a short amount of time. I am forced to remember that things happen in God's time, not my time. This is clearly the Divine Right Time for these changes to occur. I am so excited about these shifts, and the same kinds of shifts I have experi- enced in my own life in the past 10 days. I know that everything is working for our Highest and Best good, individually and collect- ively, and I can't wait to see how we evolve in Expansive Vibration in 2012!
Happy New Year! May it be your best year, so far.

Congratulations! Heidi Anderson January's Volunteer of the Month by Valerie Wiener, RScP
"There's no question that I'm a different kind of person," says Heidi Anderson, "from what I believe to what I do." Recognizing her uniqueness - even quirkiness - Heidi searched for a long time for a spiritual community that would encour- age her to be authentic. This is what drew her to the First Church of Religious Science (now Center for Spiritual Living Greater Las Vegas) about 13 years ago. "Here," Heidi says, "I immediately knew, and still know, that I can be myself, honor myself, and be honored."
According to Heidi, everything she is, everything she learns, and everything she practices is supported and nurtured by our Center and those who call it home. "I can celebrate my Oneness with God - and all others - and the Truth that Life has no ceiling." Heidi adds, "I celebrate the Pure Potential of Life within me."
Born in Long Beach, California, Heidi grew up in Mammoth Lakes, California. She moved to Las Vegas in 1989 and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1991. For more than 15 years, Heidi has been an energy healer and is currently the publisher of Nevada Wellness Magazine and president of the Nevada Holistic Chamber of Commerce, which, as the only chamber of its' kind in Las Vegas, boasts 500 members. She operates Angel Blessings Wellness Spa, where she enjoys supporting wellness and beauty practi- tioners in growing their businesses. Recently, Heidi opened a new business incubator-Peace Way Business Center-for new mainstream businesses seeking a holistic approach to doing business.
Just as her involvement in business is enterprising, Heidi's commitment to our Center is equally energetic. "I've always been a volunteer, even when I was a child," Heidi says. At our Center, Heidi particularly enjoys working with our children. She has taught Sunday School for more than 12 years.
"Kids, kids, kids . . . whatever involves our kids," is the answer Heidi offers when discussing her favorite contribu- tion to our Center. "I love to experience them when they're learning spiritual practices, like meditation, and the spiritual lessons that they describe in ways only children can." Heidi adds, "Whenever I have a question in my own life, the answers often come to me during Sunday lesson time with our kids." She is constantly awed by our little ones and celebrates them "because they are the Source of enlighten- ment, each in a special way."
Heidi's volunteerism with children fulfills her in countless ways. "I am deeply grateful and love being a part of children's lives, because they add so much to mine," she says. "When I'm in the room, experiencing them in the same space, it's unbelievable." Heidi adds, "It's amazing to watch the One Mind unfold. Our kids tie together the differ- ent themes we study, even if it's months later!"
A strong advocate for volunteerism, in whatever ways it shows up for each of us, Heidi believes that this "giving of self helps us reveal who we are to ourselves and others." She adds, "Volunteerism is a gift to me and a private connection between me and all those I serve."
Reflecting on our Center's intention for 2012 - "Expansive Vibration" - Heidi responds that this is a feeling within herself that directs everything she is and everything she does. According to Heidi, "We live in a very small world, because of the expansive nature of God, and I know that I am One with every point of Life on the planet."
Heidi eagerly invites Life to use her everywhere, globally, in a way of enlightened connectedness. "Celebrating our Oneness, when I hear about something on the other side of the planet, I don't feel like it's 'over there'," Heidi says. "I know that I can do something, right here and right now, to participate in, and contribute to, the greatest Good unfolding around the world."

Today, with total faith in the Allness of God, I know that It works for me by working through me...as who I am... in all ways, always. The more I declare this Truth for myself, the more I experience it. Valerie, Wiener, RScP
