Nex-Tech Wins Recognition As Top Business Of The Year By Governor Brownback
 

Gov. Sam Brownback recognized Nex-Tech of Lenora with the Governor's Award of Excellence at the annual Kansas Cavalry Encampment at the Kansas State University Alumni Center in Manhattan on June 12, 2012.

 

This award is the state's highest achievement by a business and is the culmination of Business Appreciation Month, the Department's annual statewide tribute to Kansas businesses for their contributions to the state. The event is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Kansas Cavalry, a volunteer group of business leaders who promote the state as a desirable business location.

 

"Nex-Tech is well deserving of its recognition," Brownback said.

Nex-Tech Zoo Fest Breaks Records

The 8th annual Nex-Tech Zoo Fest was held June 2, 2012, at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo. Nex-Tech Zoo Fest is a free community event in Great Bend designed to create awareness for the zoo, give back to the local community and raise funds for the zoo. This year, more than 3,000 people attended Nex-Tech Zoo Fest, setting a new record for zoo attendance.

Nex-Tech Classifieds Upgrade to Release in July
 

Beginning in July, Nex-Tech Classifieds users will see some changes.

  • Better Facebook integration including the option to log in with your Facebook account. You will also be able to share your listings to your Facebook account to gain even more exposure.
  • Better image view along with the typical list view within a category. Instead of having to mouse over the image to see a picture of the listing, you will now be able to change your view to see images like the front page of the site.

On June 6, 2012, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced funding for 52 distance learning and telemedicine projects that will increase access to health care and enhance educational opportunities in 29 states.

Scammers know how much you value your Facebook account and they're trying to take advantage of that fact. Fraudulent emails are now circulating, seemingly from Facebook, that say Facebook has received an account cancellation request. Recipients are asked to either confirm or cancel this request by following a link.
