A New Year & A New Start

Our Military Families are just like any other military family. We pick up move households, re-enroll our children in school and seek new employment. Jobs for our gay and lesbian Military spouses and partners are critical because we and in many cases our children, do not fall under the benefit protections of our military partner.

Support is on its way......

Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Career Forum, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. On Jan. 13, 2012 - More than 1,300 military spouses were on the job hunt at the nation's largest hiring fair and career forum dedicated solely to career-seeking military spouses.

Patty Shinseki, wife of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki and senior advisor to the Joining Forces campaign, the White House's initiative to raise awareness and support for troops, veterans and their spouses welcomes MPFC to the Military Spouse Career Fair.

National Military Spouse Network

The National Military Spouse Network is a networking and professional development organization supporting military spouses who balance their own goals and ambitions with the military lifestyle.

*Their next networking event is scheduled for February 6th in Springfield VA.

"All About Branding" - a fast paced tutorial on LinkedIn profiles, the essentials and why it's important tool for establishing your brand. NMSN member and photographer, Lorelei Taylor will be on hand to take professional headshots to complete your polished social media profiles.
