A Thankful Reflection

This year there was much to be thankful for! From the launch of MPFC on Memorial Day to the repeal of DADT in September to our Beyond 61 event in Washington, D.C., we were able to take some big steps forward in living our lives more honestly and authentically.

Today, I am thankful for the brave silent partners who came together to create a safe space for those who had nowhere to go and helped to create MPFC; I am thankful for all of the people and organizations who have stood up to support ALL military families; I am thankful for the Servicemembers who have served and are currently serving our country overseas and are away from their families on this holiday; and I am thankful for all those who stand beside our troops and support them in the most important of ways - our military families.

I hope you all have the happiest of Thanksgivings and know that we are thankful for all of you.

It was founded in 2011 by a group of partners of active duty U.S. Armed Forces service members stationed in the U.S. and overseas. MPFC provides support, resources, education and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender military partners and their families.
