DETACHMENT 101
This month be prepared for a wild ride through your ego's relationships with partners, co-workers, family, friends and self/Self. Yes, I know some of you are saying, "This has been going on for way too long already!" But if you have been awake to this and have been aware of the lessons inherent in the struggles (i.e, the sense of separation is an illusion/defense of ego control), the rewards of your hard work are already manifesting. I find I am constantly reminding myself of this fact:
ALL IS GOOD IN THE BLISSFUL BALM OF THE NOW.
During this roller coaster ride, there will be a tendency to give away too much of one's energy to others, leaving little left for self/Self. This tendency is spurred on by self-doubt, a sense of futility or "what's the point?", and a fear of defeat. All of these stem from the ego-mind, from fearful thoughts based on remembered experiences of defeat, especially in relationships and with what has "heart and meaning" for us. These fears may dominate our perceptions, thereby directing our behaviors towards defensiveness, masking and power/control trips . As has been noted many times in previous newsletters, these fears are one's mental/emotional patterns that are arising in order to be cleared, and relationships are the beautiful mirror in which we can view what needs to be cleared, if we so choose. The more one clears and releases the fears, the lighter one becomes, and the lighter one becomes, the more one is aligned with Higher Self (Unity Consciousness), Who is poised to "be the change you want to see in the world."
When relationships trigger ego/fear patterns, we can be grateful they reveal what needs to be cleared. From here we can practice DETACHMENT, a cultivated attitude of being free of attachment to outcome/results.
Detachment is not about aloofness, disregard or holding back from life. It is just the opposite - fully engaged in the NOW with love, compassion and acceptance of what IS, letting go of controlling the results of our actions and trusting what the NOW moment offers. Said another way, detachment from the ego's attachments naturally results in expanded awareness in the HERE AND NOW, which is very empowering AND enlightening. One can set goals, organize and plan for their realization, believe they are manifesting, and still be detached from the outcome. How? - with Trust and Faith in the truth that......
Whatever happens is what is meant to happen for the highest possible good for all involved!

MEDITATION FOR SEPTEMBER
Breathe and read through this meditation
for help with the process of Detachment.
Breathing in.......breathing out
with slow......deep.....breaths.
Letting go of thoughts in the mind
that are attached to the future and past.
Focus in the NOW moment
using your awareness of breath
in......out...
Proclaim the truth of who you are
by chanting
I AM THAT I AM
over and over
until you feel centered and still.
Step more fully into your Higher Self
and allow HS to lovingly BE
by surrendering the ego control
to HS Consciousness
and keep breathing
in and out
from the Heart.
Breathe in LOVE,
Breathe out fear.....
And when the fear is all gone
breathe out LOVE to the world
Surrender further by allowing the following
to BE:
I have a body, yet I AM greater
than this body.
I have emotions, yet I AM greater
than these emotions.
I have a mind, yet I AM greater
than the mind.
I AM THAT I AM
I AM the greater being
having these experiences
in order to learn, grow and evolve
into
LOVE and ONENESS
Breathe into each now...now...now.....
And when you open your eyes,
you look out into the world
as Higher Self
ready to co-create
joy, love, peace and abundance.

ASTROLOGY FOR SEPTEMBER 2012

THE DEVIL'S IN THE DETAILS
The first two weeks of September are riding on the wave of the August 31 full moon (the 'blue moon', remember?). The energies of that full moon chart were slated towards making a difference, serving those in need and resisting the temptation that just being optimistic would be enough.
On September 15, a new moon in 23 Virgo gives us a new chart for the next two weeks. Once again, service is emphasized, and a willingness to do the smaller more thankless jobs. The desire to forcibly make things happen will not likely meet with success, though you might think so when signs seem to point in a good direction. The best progress for the last half of September will come through solid extremely grounded thinking. Nothing too wild and wooley.
On September 18, Pluto will go direct and the very next day will make the second of 7 exact squares between Uranus and Pluto. Since Uranus will still be retrograde, the appearance could be that the Plutonian forces of extremism and intrenchment will have the upper hand over Uranian progressivism. But make no mistake, Pluto always ultimately rules transformation of what is no longer useful (and Pluto will play it any way that is necessary to get the job done). These are intense times and an intense battle is being waged but it can only be won on the inside (in the spiritual Piscean realms of oneness). We each have a chance to assist by serving in the simplest of ways, attending to the details of the moment (Virgo) when there is nothing else to be done. This month offers us this challenge.
By the full moon on September 22, we will feel considerably strengthened and invigorated to move forward. We have cooled our jets long enough. We will feel "all fired up and ready to go."
Saturn will be leaving the sign Libra early in October so, in the 29th of Libra at end of month, many relationship issues will be in the process of stepping aside for other points of focus. More on that next month.
The Fall Equinox is September 22. This time is a changing of the guard and a marvelous time to throw into a beautiful cedar fire your visions for yourself and the world and let the smoke waft its way to the heavens. Or just do what you do at this time. You know best.
