Fall 2012 Colors - Gold for Your Honey

When I think of the quintessential timeless fall color camel gets the nod hands down. Camel: classic, neutral and elegant. This fall the camel we know is called Honey Gold. It is soft, muted and a bit burnished like a ray of sunshine on a crisp fall day. Same warm shade with a new name.

Honey Gold

Honey Gold can occur in many gemstones: citrine, scapolite, golden beryl, zircon, tourmaline and garnet. Honey Gold in scapolite is mellow and bright at the same time. Roger cut this trio from rough he acquired in Tanzania last September. These gems are cut as radiant emerald cuts. All the extra facets make these scream!

A few years ago Roger cut this pair of hexagon golden beryl which weighed over 23 carats. In fact they were entered in the AGTA Cutting Edge Competition that year. Abbott Taylor Jewelers in Tucson, Arizona created these awesome earrings with incredible movement.

So how about some 'gold for your honey' or some Honey Gold? Either way honey wins!
