Last year it was Honeysuckle, this year it's Tangerine Tango. Last year was bright, this year is spicy. Last year it was a reddish-pink, this year is reddish-orange. I'm talking about the 2012 Color of the Year designated by Pantone, the fashion color trend forecasting company.

Basically we're talking orange, not Howard Johnson's or A & W orange, but one that is radiant and appealing. Tangerine Tango, err orange, has a hint of exoticness perfect for spring which is right around the corner. The warmth of Tangerine Tango also assures it a solid place in the fall fashion forecast alongside the traditional autumn colors adding a depth and spiciness.
Of course, my question is: what gemstones are available in Tangerine Tango? Mexican Fire Opal certainly fits the bill! Here's a Rose Cut Round weighing 1.87ct.
