Pathways to Practice 2012 - Early-Bird Rates End Sept. 28th

This summer, the OCA launched a province wide media relations campaign to tell the public about the results of the OCA's Consulting Chiropractic Demonstration Project. The campaign included consumer and physician research surveys that demonstrated an appetite from both groups for collaborative care.

HPRAC - Spousal Treatment UPDATE
The OCA in collaboration with other health professional associations has been actively involved in the Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council (HPRAC) consultations and its review of mandatory revocation provisions and treatment of spouses by health care professionals.
OCA Member helps launch ShoShong World Spine Care Clinic in Botswana

booking patientsIn November of 2011 World Spine Care launched its flagship project in  the town of Shoshong, Botswana. This multifaceted project combines primary assessment and treatment for the Shoshong community, along with follow-up care and specialized medical intervention. The project will also be vital to extensive research and provide an opportunity to promote educational programs.

The prestigous OCA Awards recognize the significant contributions of our exemplary members to their profession. Nominating one of your peers for an Award will identify and celebrate their efforts to advance chiropractic in Ontario. Nominations must be submitted by October 25th.

Changes to HCAI in 2012
HCAI is currently preparing to implement the second regulatory change outlined in the Financial Services Commission of Ontario's HCAI July 2012 Guideline. On November 1, 2012, in the request for more data, changes will be made to the "Reimbursable Fees within the Minor Injury Guideline or Pre-Approved Framework" section of the OCF-21C and new rules will be enforced for the OCF-18 and OCF-21B.
