As of March 12, 2012, additional changes have been implemented for the Health Professional's Report, Form 8, submitted by chiropractors, physiotherapists, registered nurses, and extended class, the following changes will occur:
1. $45.00 for the submission of an electronically submitted form.
2. $40.00 for the submission of a paper form (mailed or faxed).
Additional Changes Coming in 2013:
As of February 1, 2013, the fee for the electronic Form 8 will increase to $50.00 and electronic submissions of Form 8 will be mandatory for chiropractors, physiotherapists, registered nurses and extended class as of the February 1, 2013 date.
The current version of Form 8 can be found on the WSIB website at www.wsib.on.ca.
Beginning April 30, 2012, the WSIB will no longer accept older versions of Form 8 for payment.
Proposed Update for PMP regarding WSIB Submissions
The OCA is in currently in discussions with WSIB and Telus Health Solutions (THS) to offer PMP users the ability to submit the electronic Form 8, created in our system directly to the Telus Health portal. The change will allow PMP users to submit forms directly to THS in a similar way as OCF forms created in PMP are submitted to HCAI.
