Manitoba Public Insurance Fee Increase
A Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) fee increase has been announced. This increase is retro-active to January 1, 2011.
Outstanding claims for 2011 will be paid at the 2011 increased fee. Unpaid claims for 2011 should be received at MPI no later than January 31, 2012. Print and follow the instructions below to update your MPI fees. The instructions explain how to create a billing and process the payment to capture any retro-active payments. To Create an MPI Billing Report for Outstanding 2011 Claims
If you have 2011 outstanding claims for MPI they will be paid at the newly rate included in the agreement. Fees and activity do not require any editing in order to create this billing.
To create the report:
- go to the Manitoba menu, Prepare MPI Billing
- Choose Rebill Claims by Period
- Select available dates in 2011 and click Run. This will find all unpaid claim within the time period
- Continue with the billing in the usual way.
