Professional development for OCA members

The OCA has partnered with the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) and Canadian Cochrane Centre (CCC) to offer a suite of spring online learning sessions and an in-person workshop.

The sessions are available exclusively to OCA members and can be counted toward structured credits for continuing education (CE), as outlined by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO).*

Training Series 2:
Your head start to authoring a Cochrane review

Join CCC Education Coordinator Adrienne Stevens for this training series to provide you with the basic skills to author your own Cochrane review. We are offering this series in April and May via mixed mode: a three-part webinar series plus a one-day in-person workshop in Toronto.

For the webinar component, you can connect from your home or office. All you need is a computer with Internet connection and speakers. A microphone is optional as you can contribute to the discussion live using the webinar chat room. Click here for computer requirements.

Cost: $150 per person, including training materials, and catered lunch and breaks for the in-person workshop. You are responsible for your own transportation costs to attend the Toronto workshop. You will need to bring a laptop to the workshop.

  • Session 1: Systematic review protocols and defining the research question - Apr. 26, (7-8:30 p.m.)

  • Session 2: Searching for and selecting studies for your review - May 3, 2011 (7-8:30 p.m.)

  • Session 3: Extracting data and other information from included studies - May 10, 2011 (7-8:30 p.m.)

  • In-person workshop - May 19, 2011 (8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Toronto, The Rostie Group, Downtown Location
