Hello!
Recently, I've started to play more tennis. I used to play pretty regularly, but got out of the habit and just never took it up again.
That all changed when my daughter started lessons. And, she is super keen. This means that she is dragging me to the tennis courts as often as she can.
I love it actually, for when my daughter was small, I used to dream about the day when we could go biking together, or jogging together, and any number of other physical activities. Tennis was on that list.
Mind you, I'm chasing more balls than I am hitting, but I am patient because I am reminded of the end result - her and I batting the ball back and forth, playing games, and loving it!
It's awesome to have someone else to help us get moving, isn't it? However, sometimes someone else's efforts don't even help. Are you finding that you just can't get motivated to exercise? Has this been a long standing issue for you?

Exercise may be about moving your body, but you won't get anywhere until you move your mind first!
The weather is nice and people are flocking outdoors to exercise. They are walking, they are jogging, they are biking, but you're not one of them. You'd like to be, for this is the time of year that people are starting to wear shorts and sleeve-less tops and exercising could help you look good in both of them...but you just can't seem to make it happen.
You Know the Benefits of Exercise! You know it not only helps with weight loss and disease prevention but that it also clears the mind and helps you focus. You also know what type of exercise you should be doing - how many days a week and for how long. You know this stuff, and you believe it, and you don't need to hear it again...but it's still hard to motivate yourself to get off your butt and even walk around the block!
Motivation isn't something that just happens to you, but rather something you create for yourself.
You have bought the work out videos, or configured Dance Dance revolution to work with a yoga mat you bought off eBay, but nothing lasts for very long. It's just so DULL, and you always feel tired afterwards! Don't you just wish you could find something that works?
