Did You Know? "Every 17 seconds, someone is diagnosed with diabetes. Diabetes kills more people each year than breast cancer and AIDS combined. Recent estimates project that as many as 1 in 3 American adults will have diabetes by 2050 unless we take steps to stop diabetes." Source: American Diabetes Association

Go Green!
The holidays are just around the corner. "If you need to use disposable plates and dishes for a big event, serve food on biodegradable, compostable dishes and flatware made from cornstarch, sugar cane, bamboo, or tropical leaves. That way, you'll end up with a big pile of worm fodder that will soon be valuable compost, rather than a stack of landfill."

We Can Help You With Recruiting
As a hiring manager, you already have a full plate. So when Mary (who is one of your SUPER STARS) walks into your office and gives her two week notice, you are wondering how you're going to get the work done, and also how you're going to find time to fill her shoes. Here's a few reasons why you should consider hiring us to help you fill your open positions.
Expertise
As professional recruiters, we know the marketplace because that's what we do every day. Human Resources can help, but they are swamped with so many responsibilities that it becomes difficult for them to give the necessary time it takes to fill your open position. We focus on finding the best talent with the right skills and fit for your organization. Time and Speed
The recruiting process is always faster through us, because we are continually tapped in to talent and don't have to start the process from scratch. For every day the job remains open, a company could be losing market share and competitive advantages. And, employees become dissatisfied because they are doing double duty, etc. It's also very time consuming for you and/or Human Resources to review the 150+ resumes that you are getting from the internet.
Selling You & The Company
It's much easier for us to contact a prospective candidate and brag about you as a great boss and the benefits of working for XYZ company, than it is for you to contact those individuals and try to sell yourself and the company. We can easily talk about the job opportunity, why people like working for YOU and the company, opportunities for advancement, training, benefits etc.
Negotiating Salary
Salary negotiations can be a tough part of the recruitment process. We have the skills to act as a buffer and are an informed intermediary to blend the needs and wants of both parties, so you can arrive at a mutually benefited arrangement when it comes to the conversations about salary. We get candidates excited about the company and the job opportunity and then discuss salary.
Costs
It's a misconception among employers that outside recruiters are really expensive. Our costs are very reasonable because we establish a recruiting strategy that works efficiently. We not only understand the job that needs to be filled and the qualifications, but we take the time to understand your business and your needs. We make recommendations to hire additional skills to help you when your business grows/changes. We bill on an hourly basis and our fees are typically 50 per cent less than other agencies.

What Does a Successful Interview Look Like?
A Great First Impression
Begin with dressing for success and dressing appropriately for the interview. Since attire varies from company to company, ask the interview scheduler what the attire should be for the interview. Looking professional, articulate, having eye contact with the interviewers, a firm handshake and a smile are keys to a successful interview. This all shows self-confidence. Remember the first 30-60 seconds is what matters most.
Know Your Body Language
Sitting with your arms folded across your chest is a sign of unfriendliness and disengagement. Sitting up straight and leaning slightly forward in your chair projects interest and engagement in the discussion. Show enthusiasm by nodding and making positive gestures in moderation to avoid looking like a bobble head. If you are in a team interview briefly address all individuals with your gaze and return your attention to the person who asked the question. Stand up and smile even if it's a phone interview. Standing increases your level of alertness and engagement in the conversation.
Be Prepared
It's so important to take time to review the company website and recent articles prior to the interview. You want to show the company that you have spent some of your own time to learn about their business. Study the company's mission statement and values. Write down at least three questions to ask the interviewer. Review your resume and have a copy with you in your portfolio so you can refer to it if you need to during the interview.
Know Your Skills
Review the job openings and be sure you have the skills and the expertise required for the job. Usually job postings have essential and desirable job qualifications and you will want to review each qualification and be prepared to explain how you qualify. Communicate concisely and explain why the company should hire you.
Express Sincere Interest
Ask for a business card and give the interviewer one of yours. If you are unemployed, have a business card made up with your name in the center of the card. Underneath your name list a title that indicates your profession such as Financial Analyst, Sales Representative, Account Executive, Business Developer etc. At the bottom of the card on the left side indicate a phone number and to the right of the card indicate your email address. Using the business cards, send a thank you immediately via email or a written note expressing your interest in the job. At the end of the interview sincerely tell the interviewer that you are excited about the opportunity and very much interested in working for the company. Ask "How soon do you plan to fill this position?" and follow-up accordingly.
