Is your resume ready for when the economy turns and you want to apply for the job of your dreams?
The Labor Department recently reported that the employment numbers for November were strong and showing solid hiring for the second consecutive month as quoted recently by the
Minneapolis Star and Tribune. Economists hope we are returning to some normalcy after a brutal three-year stretch for the U.S. economy.
"The ADP National Employment Report showed that the private sector added 93,000 jobs in November. More than half of those jobs (54,000) were in firms with companies with 49 employees or fewer, a good sign that the recovery is strengthening." I believe 2011 will be an excellent year for hiring. I have seen more job postings and am hearing about individuals getting offers after looking for employment for a year. Another sign is that typically during the holiday season postings slow down between Thanksgiving and the New Year. We are
seeing the opposite - and companies are posting new ads everyday. Companies are also adding more temporary positions with the possibility that the job may go full-time in six to nine months.
