Angela's Happy Stamper
Greetings, friends!

I got an email (well, a bill really) from my Web Site hosting service informing me that our web site is 100 months old this month.  That's kind of hard to believe!  Some of you have shared that you look at it nearly every day (as I try to update something every day - What's New or Class Photos or something).  If we were a television show, I guess we'd be ready for syndication.  Anyway, thanks for sticking we me for 100 months.  I look forward to the next 100!
Fondly,
Angela

Operation We R Grateful!

Operation Write HomeJust a quick update and THANK YOU to everyone who dropped off cards for this event.  I mailed the box to We R Memory Keepers yesterday.  I didn't take the time to count the number of cards (as they were packaged so neatly in bundles), but the box weighed over 14 pounds!  Some of you have donated stamping supplies for us to give to the Herndon Senior Center.  They have used those supplies to make cards for the troops as well.  They received a letter back recently that they shared with us, since we were involved in their project too.  Here is what it said in part (you can read the entire letter at the shop):
"Your cartons have been a gift to me and every other deployed service member.  So, even though you may not receive a response from "every other", please know that the gratitude is universal.  Thanks for being a vocal part of that which is behind us, for whom we humbly serve."

Last Call for Memory Box!

Watercolor cardWe are so excited that the wait to welcome Dave Brethauer, owner of Memory Box Stamp Company, is almost over!  Dave will be here Wednesday, August 10 teaching a series of workshops on Colored Pencils and Watercolor Techniques.  Due to a couple of cancelations, we have at least 1 or 2 spots open in each class.  You will be amazed at how much you learn and how much your technique will improve in just a mere two hours!  Don't miss out!

8th Anniversary Open House!

Open House Make and Take
In this town, some people might think the "Great 8" is a professional hockey player.  But we know it's the number of years we've been sharing our love of stamping with you!  Please join us for our 8th Anniversary Open House on Saturday, September 10 from 10-5.  We have several fun demos and a trunk show with Verses Stamps scheduled for the morning and our fabulous make-and-takes in the afternoon.  Plus 2 stamp swaps, door prizes, refreshments and more!  This is one of our favorite days of the year, so we hope you can stop in and celebrate with us!  You must reserve your space for the make-and-takes, and they fill up quickly, so don't delay!
Pictured above is the Stair-step Card.  Below is the Never-ending card.  You really need to come play with this card to get the full effect.  It opens and opens and opens - fun!  These are just two of the fabulous make-and-takes we have waiting for you!
