Greetings, friends!
Marilynn and I are back from the Spring Trade Show which is held annually in Boston. It's a wonderful time of learning and shopping and sharing tips & techniques! We got to visit with Jennifer McGuire (whose room was adjoining to ours) and we made sure we are on her list of places to teach this summer. Marilynn also took several classes with Tim Holtz and reconfirmed that we are on his list - which he says is about 7 years long. So be patient with us..... Read on for more information and details about the show and the products coming in! Fondly, Angela |

Be a Winner!

We collected quite a few prizes at the Trade Show, and we want to share them with you! We filled this fabulous Little Yellow Bicycle reusable tote FULL of stamps, inks, sprays, papers, accessories, tools and more! There is more than $200 worth of stamping delights in this bag! Simply visit the shop between Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 16 and spend $25 for an entry into the drawing. You'll receive an additional entry for every $25 you spend. You can purchase product, classes, special orders, sale items, gift certificates - nothing is off limits! The drawing will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, and you do not have to be present to win! Good luck! |

Hero Arts DVD
Did you miss Jennifer McGuire's classes when she was here this past summer? Why not join us Saturday, April 16 for a virtual workshop? Jennifer has created this fabulous DVD featuring 6 different card projects using all of the Hero Hues products (papers, inks, embellishments and, of course, stamps). We'll be running the DVD in the classroom continuously on the 16th, so bring your notepad and check it out! We're sure you'll be inspired! No registration is required - just stop in!

More from the Trade Show
Marilynn and I saw so many inspiring projects and took so many fabulous classes, it's been hard to share in just one email or blog post. Marilynn has been posting card samples and class projects on her blog every day since we returned. You definitely want to check it out! Also, check out the shop blog! I've been posting stories and pictures from the show in between our standard demo and make-and-take posts. You can also view my Twitter "tweets" from the show on the right side of the blog. So much eye candy and information!!!
My absolutely favorite new product at the show was the Ultra Ultrafine Glitter by Elizabeth Craft Designs. I know - I can't believe I'm saying it either. But it's totally true! I liked it so much, I took two classes! And this product has completely changed my opinion of glitter - well, this glitter anyway. I'll be teaching Glitter-ama on Tuesday, May 24 - both day and evening - so you can play with it too. We'll do a burnished velvet technique and we'll even color OVER the glitter with Copic markers. It's so much fun!!! Join me!

Save the Date!
One of our most popular guest artists over the years was Karen Lockhart. She is the owner and designer of the wonderfully whimsical Lockhart Stamp Company, and she creates all of the incredible card samples on display in the shop! She is the queen of colored pencil techniques, and she'll be back this fall sharing her techniques with us. I don't have class specifics yet, but I do know she'll be offering a beginning and advanced class as well as a class on stylus work. Grab your calendars and block out these dates: Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1. We'll keep you posted as we know more!

And, finally, we will be CLOSED on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day. With the exception of those dates, we are open our standard hours the remainder of each holiday weekend.
