Angela's Happy Stamper
Greetings, friends!

What a fun weekend!  Tonight we'll be treated to one of the largest full moons in almost 2 decades, and tomorrow is the first day of spring.  Bring it on!  I am so ready to be inspired by the colors, smells and sounds that warmer weather brings.  Even the annoying music of the ice cream truck would be quite welcome at this point!  For those of you who have been hibernating, we look forward to welcoming you back.  There are a lot of new products and we're adding classes all the time to make a trip to the shop a full-fledged event!  Hope to see you soon!
Fondly,
Angela

New Copic ProductsWhat's New?

In the survey we recently conducted (more on that later), someone mentioned that they use our "What's New" page as their browser's homepage.  What a great idea!  I add new arrivals to it almost every day, so that would be a great way to keep up with the latest and greatest!  Meanwhile, here's a sampling of what has arrived in the last week.  Marianne Walker, the product specialist for Copic Markers, has written a new book called Shadows and Shading, and created a line of stamps for Our Craft Lounge that are perfect for coloring.  We have them both (see photo)!  We also received the brand new spring collection from Outlines!  They are stunning, but very different from what Outlines has done in the past!  You need to check these out!  Also, we finally received the two new collections from Basic Grey - Hello Luscious and Life of the Party - that coordinate with the new Hero Arts stamps.  And, Ranger has shipped the remainder of the brand new Distress Stains - so we now have all 12 colors!  If you'd like to give them a try, we'll be playing with them at our Technique Tag Tuesday FREE event on March 22 from 12-2.  If you can't join us, check out this video by Tim Holtz.  Fun!

What do you think?

Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out our online survey.  We got a lot of fantastic feedback!  Congratulations to Dawn Wolf, Lois Bell and Kelli Habicht who were chosen randomly from those who responded to win goodie bags!  Wahoo!  We hope, over the next couple of months, to incorporate as many of your product and class suggestions as possible.  I also want to answer some of the questions posed in the survey, and plan to address one or two in each newsletter.  The first question is "Why don't you have photos/samples of all of your class offerings?"  We try to use the very latest stamp and paper offerings in our classes.  We are able to plan the classes ahead of time based on viewing the product in a catalog, but then we have to wait for the product to actually arrive before we can make the class sample.  99% of the time, we are waiting for product in order to finish making the actual project.  We considered waiting to post the class until the product arrived and the sample was complete, but then we got the equally valid question "Why don't you post class dates so that we can make plans?"  We hope that by offering a detailed class description, along with a 48-hour cancelation option, to give you as much information as possible to make your registration decisions.

"Not Card" ClassesSpring Hanger

Another comment we received in the survey was that you would like to see some classes in home decor' (or other uses for your stamps besides just cards).  We will continue to add more classes, but I wanted to highlight 3 that are coming up soon!  Melinda has created this adorable spring wall hanging that is sure to brighten any room!  This class is tomorrow, (Sunday) from 2:30 - 4:30, so register quickly if you can join us!

Collage ClockHave you ever wanted to try your hand at metal work?  If so, then this is the class for you!  Join Donna to create this stunning wall clock featuring metal collage.   This class is Thursday, March 31 and is available in both the day and the evening!

Silk ScarfMaybe you'd like to wear your art!  Join Marilynn for this incredible class where you will turn a plain piece of silk into a sumptuous scarf.  Choose from a huge palette of colors and images to completely customize your design.  You'll love this faux batik technique!  This project makes a perfect Mother's Day gift!  This class is Monday, April 18 and is available in both the day and the evening.

Don't Forget the Sale Basket

Sale TableWell, we've kind of outgrown the "basket".  It's more of a table now.  The 12x12 paper is available at $.40/sheet.  In some cases, this is more than a 50% discount.  The stamps, ribbons and other items are marked down 50%!  There are some seasonal items as well as various odds and ends.  We add to the stash almost daily, so be sure to make a trip back there each time you visit the shop!  Basically we need to make room for the new product that keeps arriving, so help us make space!
