Angela's Happy Stamper
Greetings, friends!

So here's the thing.....  Apparently I use that phrase a lot.  It's usually followed by some long explanation about something.  This time, it's followed by a sad story about how my happy helpers Donna and Laura and Marilynn have been helping me shop with no regard for where we're going to put all of this great new product.  You have all helped me make room for all of these new goodies in the past, so I'm appealing to you again.  Read on for more details of how I plan to reward you for your help!

Sale, Sale, Sale!

Wow!  You won't believe all of the scrumptious new paper that is making its way here.  All of our favorite companies came out with delicious new lines, and we just couldn't narrow it down - so we pretty much ordered it all.  YIKES!  From now through Sunday, February 6, stop in and take 25% off all individual sheets of 12x12" papers.  This offer excludes our $.40 rack of sale paper, and also excludes the collection packs and 12x12 pads.  But everything else is fair game.  Come get your Valentine's paper and even your St. Patrick's Day paper!

Additionally, we're sad to say goodbye to one of our favorite stamp companies - A Muse Art Stamps.  We've literally carried A Muse stamps from the day we opened our doors.  As of 2011, they are no longer making their stamps available to stores, so our sad goodbye is your gain.  We are selling all of their stamps, ink pads and gems at 25% off while they last.  Shop early for the best selection.  This offer excludes their 8 1/2 x 11" papers and ribbons.  The sale price is valid until we run out.

What's New?

Great Impressions BoardEach month, we receive a new board from Great Impressions.  Each card features the Stamp of the Month - I love the versatility of the stamp that they choose each month!  The Stamp of the Month is available for the entire month at 50% off.  We also stock all of the other stamps used to create the cards on the board.  These are available at regular retail price.  The board for February features Get Well and Sympathy cards.  I often find these cards difficult to make, and these are especially beautiful and well done.  Be sure to bring your camera to capture these ideas for yourself!

Also brand new - 36 colors of Copic Ciao pens. These colors were previously only available in the Sketch line, but are now available in the economical Ciao line.  The colors are: Pale Porcelain Blue, Lapis Lazuli, Royal Blue, Agate, Pale Aqua, Mint Green, Ice Ocean, Iridescent Mauve, Grayish Violet, Cool Gray 0, Cool Gray 2, Pale Fruit Pink, Dark Suntan, Copper, Caribe Cocoa, Brick White, Pearl White, Walnut, Cashew, Pine Tree Green, Spring Dim Green, Cherry White, Light Rouge, Rose Pink, Begonia Pink, Peony, Heath, Marigold, Warm Gray 0, Warm Gray 2, Pale Lemon, Maize, Lettuce Green, Grass Green, Silk, and Pumpkin Yellow. These are all in stock right now!  Additionally, Copic is introducing 12 completely new colors in the Sketch line.  We have them on order but don't expect to see them until sometime mid-March.

Also, remember that I try to update the What's New page almost every day, so if you haven't bookmarked that site - you might want to.  It will help you stay on top of what's arriving at the shop.

We're All Winners!

But some are bigger winners than others.  We had 3 opportunities to win last month, and I wanted to pass along the winning names.  Mary Ann Tobin was the winner of the $15 Gift Certificate.  Her name was chosen from those who participated in our Card Cupid Drive.  Debbie Fisher was the winner of the adorable pail of stamping goodies, and Sandy Tuberson was the winner of our Wall of Fame.  Each month, we have a theme for our Wall of Fame.  For February, the theme is Pretty in Pink.  Simply bring in a card based on the theme, and we will display it on our wall for the month.  At the end of each month, we select a winner at random for a fabulous prize.  You can see a list of themes for the rest of the year by visiting our web site.

Our Next Card Drive

Stephanie, from Card Cupids, was absolutely blown away by the number of cards you donated in our first card drive.  So many of you expressed how much you enjoyed it that we are doing it again!  For our next Card Cupids card drive, we will be celebrating Absolutely Incredible Kid Day (AIKD) on March 15.  This special day has been celebrated since 1996 to appreciate the absolutely incredible kids in our lives. In addition to collecting cards, we are hoping to fill 20 tote bags with new stuffed animals, coloring books, activity books, crayons and markers, so feel free to bring those as well, if you choose.

The cards and gifts will be donated to Fairfax Inova Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. If you need suggestions for sentiments for the cards, please visit the Card Cupid web site.  For each card that is donated, you will be entered into a drawing for a $15 gift certificate to Angela's Happy Stamper. Please include a post-it note with your name and phone number inside each card for the drawing.  Deadline for dropping off cards and other donations is Friday, March 4.  We'll do the drawing at 4 PM that Friday, and you don't have to be present to win.

Card Donation Guidelines:

Cards can be any size, an envelope is not required.

Please do not use glitter.

Cards need to contain a happy message, not get well.

Cards should be signed Card Cupid First Name, From Your State (For example: Card Cupid Stephanie from Virginia)

Who are the Happy Stampers?

 Happy Staff

Did you know there are 10 of us on the Happy Staff?  We all work different days of the week, so depending on when you shop, you may have only met a handful of us.  This year, I thought it would be fun to introduce you to all of us.  So, I hired photographer extraordinaire, Laura Magane Goyer of Unique Life Photography to take our pictures.  I then passed the photos off to the collage artist queen Claudine Hellmuth, and we are now all immortalized in canvas.  I know this picture is small, so you simply MUST come in and take a look.  It is a great addition to our shop decor, if I do say so myself!
