Aerospace Skills Gap Training 

 

Company demand for skilled employees continues to rise.  In response, EvCC's Corporate & Continuing Education Center has developed a slate of short term trainings that lead to high demand employment. You may be as little as two weeks of training away from a high demand job in the growing aerospace industry. 

  • Electronics & Troubleshooting Certificate (11 weeks)
    This is a focused training on the specific skills needed for troubleshooting electronic systems
     
  • Machine Operator Certificate **New fall 2011 (13 weeks)
    Prepare to work in entry level positions as machine operators
     
  • Blueprint Reading Essentials **New fall 2011 (2 weeks)
    Learn the basics of blueprint and engineering drawings used in manufacturing. Counts towards the Machine Operator Certificate
     
  • Shop Math Essentials **New fall 2011 (3 weeks)

    Provides the skills required to succeed in a machine shop environment. Counts towards the Machine Operator Certificate
     
     

  • Wire & Cable Harness Assembly **New winter 2012 (4 weeks)
    This class covers the essentials of cable and wire harness
    assembly and routing

Grant Funding for Machine Operator Training 
 

Would you like free tuition for a high demand job in the aerospace industry?

  

EvCC's Corporate & Continuing Education Center's Machine Operator short-term certificate program has received grant funding from the Workforce Development Council of Snohomish County.  The funding covers the cost of training for 25 qualified participants, totaling over $100,000 in tuition assistance.

  

Classes started November 10th, and will be offered throughout 2012 until all funds have been allocated.  The training was developed in cooperation with Boeing and aerospace suppliers to meet hiring needs for machinists within the aerospace industry.

EvCC's Corporate & Continuing Education Center is moving to an interim location

  

Beginning in January 2012, Corporate & Continuing Education Center will offer some classes at the nearby interim location- 9930 Evergreen Way, while its home at 2333 Seaway Blvd. undergoes a renovation. 

 

The Center will move back to its Seaway Boulevard location in September 2012. Read more...
