Deadline to Claim 2006 Tax Refunds
Approaches A three-year window for about 1.4 million people
to claim unclaimed, 2006 tax refunds from the Internal Revenue Service
is about to expire. The agency said it has about $1.3 billion in
unclaimed refunds for people who did not file 2006 tax returns, with the
median unclaimed refund being about $604. Claims need to be filed by
April 15 or the unclaimed funds become the property of the U.S.
