EWN Salutes All Veterans
As America celebrates Veterans Day this Friday, November 11, 2011, ENERGY worldnet, Inc.(EWN) is proud to honor our very own Veterans, Dick Hornback, Jose Martinez, Don Taylor, and Jeremy Green. EWN also salutes all veterans and their families. Without your dedication to the United States, our current way of life would be but a dream. We applaud your unselfish service and thank you for the freedom we enjoy today!
Dick Hornback is the Chief Executive Officer of ENERGY worldnet, Inc. He served as an Army Lieutenant in the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. Mr. Hornback was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, Second Armored Division.
Jose Martinez is EWN's IT Director. He served as a Personnel Administration Specialist from 1978 to 1981. He received an ARCOM and Expert M16A1 award and boxed in the 132 lb weight class in 1979 while stationed in Korea, 2nd Infantry Division.
Don Taylor, Business Application Developer for ENERGY worldnet, Inc. served in the US Navy from 1984 to 1988. As an Interior Communications (IC) II he worked on navigation for the ship. Don was stationed in Norfolk, VA, on the USS Thomas Gates CG 51.
Jeremy Green is a Regional Account Executive for the Eastern U.S at EWN. He served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1995 - 2001 as an Armorer. He was stationed at Fort Knox, KY in Alpha Company, 8th Armored Tank Battalion, USMC Reserve Unit.

Featured Speakers Address Industry Hot Topics
Warren Miller, Operations Supervisor of the Pipeline Safety Central Region in Kansas City, Missouri for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) of the Department of Transportation (DOT), kicked off the conference as the key note speaker. Mr. Miller addressed current regulations. He also entertained a lively question and answer session from the crowd.
José M. Costa, Vice President of Operations Services, Northeast Gas Association, followed lunch on the first day with an informative look into the area of associations and how collaboration can lead to overall success.
Kelli Riddle, Senior Compliance Specialist, Magellan Midstream, began day two with updates on ASME B31Q and API 1161. Many in the group expressed their appreciation for her knowledgeable update. She fielded questions and provided the group with a welcome insider's view.
Local entrepreneur and businessman Jay Davidson, Owner/Consultant, JMD Consulting, provided a look into the topic of the discovery and development of the Barnett Shale production. Mr. Davidson had some fascinating visuals to educate attendees about the process.
Other speakers included, Joe Schippers, Damage Prevention Specialist & General Manager/Co-Owner, Safety Wrap Corp., Johan Wictor, Manager, Pergam Technical Services, and Bradley Sorrells - OQ & Safety Administrator/Trainer, Georgia Utility Training Academy/City of Monroe, GA, who spoke on safety and damage prevention. The upcoming EWN newsletter will highlight these companies and in the information they provided to conference attendees.
