Kitchen Remodel - Alderwood
We love our clients!

"I had my kitchen remodeled several years ago by Irons Brothers Construction and had the most positive experience. The attention to detail, the formal documentation, the cleanliness, the workmanship, and the communication went way beyond my expectations.

I was so comfortable with Joseph and his staff, I went on vacation for two weeks at the beginning of the remodel. I came back and found everything going well, with the only hang up being my fault because I tried to skimp and and take care of the cabinet order by myself.

Take my advice and have Joseph take care of everything, it will save time and headaches. I'm planning on using Irons Brothers Construction for remodeling a bathroom and replacing floors when the finances warrant. I refer them to anyone I know that is going to do any work on their home!"

CFL's Myths and Mysteries

 CFL

Myth: CFL's have dangerous levels of mercury

Reality: We should be concerned about CFLs and their impact on our environment. They do contain elemental (metallic) mercury, but it is a very small amount -- about 5 milligrams -- and is sealed within the glass tube.  This mercury is not released unless the bulbs are broken. (If a CFL breaks, your greatest risk is getting cut from glass shards and not from the very small amount of mercury).

Many broken bulbs in landfills can result in elemental mercury leaching into ground water where it is converted into methymercury and may eventually make its way into fish and shellfish. Eating fish and shellfish high in methylmercury can cause serious health effects especially in fetuses, infants and children.

So you may be asking, where do I dispose of them?

Visit takeitbacknetwork.com for a list of places that will recycle your CFLs. You can also take them at no cost to any Bartell Drugs or Home Depot stores in the Puget Sound area, Seattle City Light's North or South Service Centers, King County's Household Hazardous Waste sites, or IKEA.

For more information about the different forms of mercury and their health effects, visit the EPA's website

It has been a very busy winter for me and my family after having shoulder surgery in February. I am recovering well and looking forward to being able to drive again soon. So is Melissa!

Our success in 2012 would not have been possible without our clients, colleagues, employees, friends and family members project referrals. Thank you for your continued support of our company.

Have a wonderful Easter! Happy egg hunting.
