Project Photo of the Month
Brighten up Your Basement!
We added a bathroom to this Madrona residence to better accomodate guests in the lower level of their home. The bright and cheery colors make the space appear larger. This project has aging in place features including a seated walk-in shower.

Pretty Gardener's Hands & Handy Gardening Tips
- Try latex gloves instead of cloth. They're easier to clean and you can rinse them off.
- For a moisturizing treat while gardening, rub your hands with cream or petroleum jelly before donning your gloves.
- Don't like to wear gloves? Scraping your fingernails over a bar of soap before you start will prevent dirt from penetrating under your nails and protect them from breaking.
- Tie a sheet of used fabric softener around your belt to keep mosquitoes away.
- Carry a spray bottle filled with water and dish soap, give those bugs a squirt attacking your flowers.
Happy Gardening! |

The photo posted was of Joseph Irons in 2004 after repairing a 1900 craftsman home. He was surprised to find soot behind the soffitt detail he was renovating.
This was truly a dirty job!

Easter Eggstravaganza!
Next Sunday, April 24rd is Easter. For many of you, church and family gatherings will be in the plans. But don't forget to also spend sometime playing hide and seek for Easter eggs. This tradition was a Pagan celebration of Spring where the egg was a the symbol of the rebirth of the Earth and man. The egg represents a symbol for the tomb from which Christ arose.

Rampathon

This year on Saturday, May 14th the Master Builder's Care Foundation (MBCF) Event, Rampathon will take place. As many of you may already know, Irons Brothers Construction prides ourselves in giving back to the community in which we live and work.
This year our company will be building a ramp in Edmonds for a woman confined to her wheel chair due to bilateral above the knee amputations from peripheral vascular disease. She lives alone and needs access in and out of the house for emergencies, appointments, and general fresh air.
Our staff and team of volunteers is excited to help this homeowner gain more freedom and accessibility. Irons Brothers Construction has enlisted help from our specialty contractors, Foundations, Etc. this year to assist us with the concrete portions of the work. Thanks to a generous donation from the Home Depot Foundation we are also receiving assistance with our material costs.
If you are interested in donating or learning more about the MBCF and Rampathon please visit rampathon.org.
