Weekly Empowerment from Source Point Training | February 1, 2012
ANNIVERSARY EDITION |
|
Greetings!
The Source Point Training team spent time recently looking at where we are as a young organization. Well, we have a lot of experience but the secret is staying young in the perspective of what is happening in today's world as we march into our third year. In business terms, the new generation of business leaders are referred to as Generation Flux - a mind-set that embraces instability, that tolerates, and even enjoys, recalibrating careers, business models, and assumptions. Well, that has us fit in very well. Being social today means you must be willing to think global. Thanks to Lou and her quest for being in new places of the world every chance she gets, we get to work with many different people and their cultures.
Thanks to all of you who are reading this. We would not be where we are today without your participation in our outstanding trainings, your professional expertise in partnership with us to deliver what we have to a broader spectrum of people, and still finding more like-minded people who are committed to creating positive change in all areas of their lives.
We have been keynote presenters at the ASTD and SHRM conferences where we hear many people share the same concerns; how to build strong engaged teams, how to balance work and life priorities and have it all work, how to bring more of their passion to their work life and how to feel secure with a clear purpose and vision for their future.
We have worked with the YMCA Leadership team in Charlotte and FIRST5 of Santa Clara County, CA and CASA in Texas. All of these organizations share our values of empowering the people they serve to make healthy choices and to have the educational support to do so.
As we move forward, we are committed to finding more partnerships of shared purpose and vision. To bring our team's expertise to arenas that will grow through the powerful learning models we provide. Here are some of the highlights for 2012. Continue to train and certify Relationship Coaches, develop our Leadership Coaching Team to work in different parts of the country and within different organizations to develop strong leadership teams and employee engagement. To travel internationally to deliver high impact transformational trainings as only Lou Dozier can deliver and to certify the next generation of Certified Professional Performance Coaches. We will be providing bi-lingual trainings this year and also showcase a powerful Retreat for Women and a Coaches Camp to unite coaches together for a fun experience and raising the bar on their coaching skills.
Spread the word and stay on board - it will be an exciting ride!!
Respectfully,
Barbara Fagan Lou Dozier

Lessons Learned by US - The Source Point Training Team | Lou Dozier, Executive VP & Co-Founder |
Thank you for joining us in celebrating our anniversary through this issue of Source Points! Often, anniversaries are milestones in looking back and charting a new future course by examining/exploring results. Our business plan is predicated on purpose/vision/values and accountability. This requires us to be very specific in intention/desired outcomes and always looking, looking, looking. In our January Source Points, we invited you to share with us lessons you have learned in 2011.
So it seemed valuable for us to share our lessons with you!
We've learned:
- That BEing team is a tremendous gift
- That it requires a huge bandwidth to stand in the whole and yet handle the details
- That we must be willing to let go, risk and stretch in order to move forward
- That we rely on each other and that everyone has specific talents
- That purpose and vision is essential for a team to align behind
- Living our company's values has improved our own lives
- That intention and committed action is EVERYTHING
- That we make a HUGE difference in the lives of others
- That EVERTHING is about BEing in relationship
- That we especially love working with smaller companies committed to defining their purpose, vision, accountability and we are GREAT with management teams
- Our commitment is to assist people in sustained change which is what coaching provides
- To be real and to be honest before we start pretending
- That we can make things happen in a matter of hours
- That without YOU we wouldn't BE
So much of our learning is in the area of gratitude, trusting the process, and standing in that there are no accidents. This really allows us to examine and explore and make the necessary changes in order to best serve YOU, our fabulous fans. We would STILL love to hear from you and the lessons you are creating for yourself. Just hop on to My Source Point Community and share... |
Meet SPT's "Back Office Staff" |
Ginny Carter, Administrative Director

The Source Point Training Team has each been blessed to have a wonderful support team join us over the years. They are OUR support and bring calm - and strange events - into our daily lives. While some have expressed an interest in traveling to join us at trainings, other's have joined us on webinars and conference calls wanting their voices to be heard, have turned our computer screens upside down to provide us with a new perspective, and collectively keep Barbara, Lou, Kelly, Ginny and Jessica always wondering - what's next?? And they have encouraged us to incorporate daily naps and playtime into our schedules.
On behalf of the SPT Team, I'm happy to introduce to you the SPT Back Office Staff:

The Power of Leadership! |
Kelly Mobeck, Leadership Source Director
Our Leadership Source Training continues to impact leaders everywhere and we held trainings in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, San Jose, Charlotte, and Seattle! This year we will revisit some of those locatins and add others - check out the locations and dates below.
The value of Leadership Source is the diversity it brings to those who attend, representing many areas of business and walks of life - all sharing one thing, to make a difference with others and create positive change. We are so honored to have worked with so many outstanding people these last few years and see their growth and experience their successes. Here is just a sample of what has been created from this powerful Leadership Coaching model:
- Directors with several non-profit organizations learned how to coach versus manage people in their work groups, creating self empowerment, saving time and increasing teamwork and collaboration.
- Individuals in sales developed the skills to recruite and lead strong sales teams significantly improving their close ratios, opening new regions int he country, with new divisions - a Spanish Division and a Professional Division, and many promoted to District Managers and Regional Managers.
- Executives worked with management teams to develop a strong strategic plan with objectives and enrollment of key players through improved communication skills that created ownership and accountability.
- Entrepreneurs were coached on ways to enroll partnership of shared vision and manage project deliverables with support systems to monitor results.
- Created work-life balance by establishing priorities that supported having more family time and less stress at work.
- Learning to take the lead with passion, purpose, contribution, and creativity. One person completed a book and is on the best seller's list, and another will be complete with his book by year end.
- Leaders in business increased sales and productivity by 75% and growing, hired new business partners, restructured office personnel and delegated in partnership work related tasks.
- Leaders committed to a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise and healthy eating habits; in 2011 over 200 pounds collectively have been lost as a result, and decreased sick days by 50%.
Leadership Source participants, as part of their learning, take on a team service project together. They learn how to integrate all their resources, use the leadership principles and tools and come away with a project that makes a positive impact on others. The end of 2011 found the Seattle Leadership Source participants in Tent City 4 in Issaquah, WA., where they served over 100 home cooked meals and connected with each person in the "city". They raised $3,000.00 and awarded scholarships for people to attend Leadership Source empowering them to take the lead in their lives!
We welcome your support and partnership in letting more people know about this powerful leadership and coaching experience. Please contact us or send the Leadership Source link - http://www.sourcepointtraining.com/leadership-training/leadership-source/ - to people you know to attend or support others in being there this year.
