Weekly Empowerment from Source Point Training | August 25, 2010
Greetings!

School HouseLou, who lives near Park City, UT was sharing with us her enjoyment in experiencing the cooling down in the evenings and the crisp mornings and how it evokes in her that IT'S BACK TO SCHOOL time. We can all remember loving the fresh aspect of getting prepared for this adventure - new pencils, notebooks, clothes and the excitement of meeting old and making new friends. Many of you are in this process right now with your children assisting them in getting ready.

What about you? Perhaps you are ready to be your company's internal coach. There has never been a more exciting time to take on the possibilities that being a coach will provide. During these uncertain times, companies are looking to those within their organizations that have the skills to listen, be curious - look outside the box for solutions, and provide consistent accountability for results.
Are you ready for a change and dream of being a professional coach with your own clients, working your own hours? Or you are simply a lifelong learner, someone who is always interested in deepening your understanding and skills around being in relationship with yourself and others.

The Faculty Coaches at Source Point Training have the proven experience in training and certifying some of the best Professional Performance Coaches working in the field today. You will want to attend a coach training curriculum that has consistently delivered and been tested for over 9 years. AND now with 141 CCE's of coach training hours approved by the International Coach Federation, graduates will be able to build a professional portfolio that rapidly moves them to the next level of international credentialing.

Coaching is a recognized discipline used by many professionals engaged in personal development focused on achieving results. Coaching is the art and practice of inspiring, energizing, and facilitating the performance, learning and development of the player. (Myles Downey)
  • Art - though there is science to coaching, coaching is an art in the sense that "when practiced with excellence, there is no attention on the technique: the coach is fully engaged with the player and the process of coaching becomes a dance between two people, conversationally moving in complete harmony and partnership.
  • Inspiring - coaching is about helping the player to unlock his or her true potential through raising awareness, inspiring new ideas and encouraging creativity.
  • Energizing - coaching is about energizing the player through effective communication, soliciting suggestions, and building a can-do attitude.
  • Facilitating - implies that the player has the capacity to have an insight or creative idea and to think something through for himself.
  • Performance - anything a coach says or does should be driven by the intention to improve performance, i.e. to achieve greater effectiveness or efficiency of the player.
  • Learning - refers to a broader domain, how to approach a task or master a new technology; looking beyond immediate objectives to the future.
  • Development - refers to personal growth and greater self-awareness.
ICF LogoWhat would it be like to be competent in all of the above regardless of your current occupation? What would it take for you to make this powerful INVESTMENT in yourself NOW! I can promise you it'll be the BEST investment you have ever made!
