No Better Time to Join Free Speech TV And Support the Occupy Movement
99% to 1%
We're all in this together.
In the last half of 2011, we witnessed some truly remarkable developments in the political, social and economic landscape of the USA and the world. At this time last year, who would have predicted that citizens in Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries would peacefully demand an end to despotic regimes and begin to adopt democratic principles for their governments?

Or that here in the United States, the conversation would shift from the divisive rhetoric of the Tea Party to a more honest conversation about what's most important to the large majority of citizens here, as seen in the Occupy Wall Street movement.

We here at Free Speech TV are doing everything we can to support individuals trying to reform their financial institutions, their government and their media. For the past 17 years we have been an alternative to the mainstream, corporate media, and we are funded and organized by the very same people who are now standing up as part of the 99 percent.

This is why I'm writing to you now. FSTV encourages peaceful citizen movements of social and economic reform. Click this link to make a secure, tax-deductible donation online to help FSTV remain an independent, powered-by-the-people alternative to FOX News and other right-wing media.

For your generous contribution, we would also like to offer you a special thank-you gift of your choice: An FSTV Bumper Sticker, the FSTV Members Pack or the FSTV Travel Mug. We will also be offering the exclusive FSTV Activist Library for the first time for a donation of $99. It includes three assorted books, CDs or DVDs from the FSTV Activist Library. And part of your contribution will be supporting the Occupy movement. We will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to the OccupyWallSt.org fund as a sign of solidarity and support to peaceful citizen activism.

20 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the OccupyWallSt.org fund as a sign of solidarity and support to peaceful citizen activism.
I also wanted to use this opportunity to report on the results of our most recent pledge drive. We raised $283,000 with the help of members from all 50 states, Canada, & British Columbia. This still left us short of our goal of $325,000, but your contributions are helping us build new FSTV original programming, including one called
Occupy the Media, a weekly news program that will break the mold on how the media have covered this global movement. Instead of relying solely on mainstream journalists, we will be collaborating with citizen-journalists and occupiers from all over the country as they give us genuine stories from the field. We have been listening carefully to our viewers, and this is a response to your calls and letters about how you wanted us to cover the OWS movement.

A donation of $99 will help us utilize new resources to produce this original program and will enable you to make a meaningful contribution of books and DVDs to either your own or a local occupy-camp library.

Our members form a powerful voice. You brought us Al Jazeera, Democracy Now!, GAY USA and Thom Hartmann's shows, all of which are covering the 99 percent movement in amazing ways. Thank you so much for your support. Be proud, be courageous, be you. The future is ours to shape.

In Solidarity,

Don Rojas
