Mmmm.......Strawberries, honey, cream, lemon. These homemade masks are bound to make you drool! ;-)
Strawberries make an
excellent cleansing and skin-softening facial mask. They contain salicylic
acid, which rids the skin of dead cells, allowing it to absorb moisture more
efficiently. Strawberries also have a mild bleaching effect on the skin and
help to heal blemishes. People with
sensitive or sunburned skin might find strawberries irritating. You might want
to test on a small patch of skin first to assess your skin's reaction.
Here are some really simple strawberry masks. They have 4 ingredients or less - ingredients that your bound to have in your kitchen once strawberry season is in full swing here. Make sure you use organic strawberries. Non-organic strawberries are know to contain heavy residues of pesticides.

HONEY STRAWBERRY MASK
8 - 9 organic strawberries in a bowl
3 tablespoons of honey
In a bowl, use a fork to mash strawberries into a
pulp. Mix in honey. Don't over blend or it will be runny. Apply to skin, let
sit for a 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
SIMPLE STRAWBERRY MASK
½ cup of very ripe
organic strawberries
¼ cup cornstarch
Mix the strawberries and cornstarch together in a
bowl making a paste. Apply to skin and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with cool
water.
STRAWBERRY MASK
1/2 cup fresh organic strawberries
1 tablespoon fresh milk
1 tablespoon cornstarch
In a bowl, mash together ingredients to
make a smooth paste. Spread over face and neck and let sit for 20 minutes.
Rinse with warm water.
STRAWBERRY LEMON MASK
1 cup strawberries
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 egg whites
2 teaspoon honey
Blend ingredients in a bowl and apply to
face. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

MASK
4 to 5 very ripe, medium size strawberries
2 teaspoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon honey
Mash strawberries in a bowl. Add the cream and honey,
mixing well. Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
