Last month I talked about Facial Steams. Here's a festive winter twist - add small sprigs of fresh cut greens! No, not lettuce or kale! Cedar, pine, spruce, juniper, or fir! The heat of the water will help to release their fragrant natural oils - mmmmm.....
For a real treat, arrange winter greens and candles around your bath tub then toss a bit right in the tub! There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh winter greens in your home.

Is your scalp dry, itchy, and flaky?
This is normal for this time of year. We spend more time indoors where our heating creates a dry environment. You most likely do not have dandruff. Dandruff is bacterial and creates thick yellow flakes - much different than common dry scalp. I see a lot of scalps in my profession and just about everyone tends to have some degree of 'white flakes'. If you'd like to see more 'white flakes' outside this winter than on your head (ha ha), or if you'd just like to see less flakes period; try massaging a bit of oil on your scalp periodically to loosen the dead skin flakes and hydrate the scalp. (use olive, jojoba, or Uspa's Healing Immortale Oil)
