Barbecue ribs
Home Cook Brian Reeve
will show you how to make his grilled baby back ribs.  This dish is Brian's all-time favorite pork recipe that will be featured in Salt & Pepper's upcoming e-cookbook.  Standout ingredients -- love and beer!  Brian says that these ribs would be nothing without Chef "Tee" Terrell Danley's suggestion to bake them first.

Chef Tee
will show you how to make a sweet, tangy, peach-infused barbecue sauce from Brian's leftover rib juices.

Is your mouthwatering yet?  Stay tuned!

Culinary Tips of the Week

Recycle leftover water --This tip is courtesy of my wife Stephanie.  We always have unfinished bottles of water left behind after a party.  Instead of throwing them away, Steph waters our plants with the leftovers then recycles the bottles.  I love her!

Summertime means saladtime part 2:  Add herbs --
Basil, dill or whatever herb you like adds great flavor to salads, and more flavor means you won't need as much salad dressing.  So, the next time you are about to throw away your leftover herbs, add them to a salad and enjoy!

Caramelized onions -- Caramelizing onions turns raw onions into sweet candy like ingredients that add amazing flavor to dishes.  The process is simple.  Just heat a tablespoon of olive oil (or just enough to coat the pan) in a medium skillet over medium heat.  Add one medium, thinly sliced red onion, a teaspoon of agave nectar, a little Earth Balance and salt to taste.  When the onions start to cook, lower the temperature to low, and cook until they are tender, but not mushy.  Add them to sandwiches, pizzas, salads--be creative and enjoy.
