* Check lines & Fenders
* Check batteries (voltage, water level,connections)
* Check fluids in Engine (coolant,oil, transmission fluid)

December recipe by Yvonne

Swedish "Knack" - Christmas Toffee (very tasty candy)

3 dl (1.268 cups) heavy cream 40% fat
3 dl ( 1.268 cups) granulated sugar
3 dl ( 1.268 cups) pale syrup
50 g (1.78 ounces) butter
100 g (3.57 ounces) sweet peeled almonds (these can be omitted)

Put all the ingredients except for the almonds, into a large heavy based sauce pan and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Stop stirring and bring to a gentle boil. Keep the mixture boiling gently, stirring occasionally until it has reached 120 degrees Celsius (248 F). You can test if the toffee is ready by dripping a little bit into a bowl of cold water, if you can shape it into a ball then the toffee is ready. While the mixture is boiling chop the peeled almonds (you can pour boiling water and let sit for a minute to blanch the almonds if you can't find peeled ones). Add the chopped almonds once the required temperature has been reached and remove from heat. Use a small jug to pour the mixture into tiny 2 cm round paper cake forms (1/2 inch forms). If the toffee hardens up, you can just re-heat it on the stove to soften it up a bit. Leave to cool.

This candy is chewy, so be careful with the caps/crowns in your teeth!!
