Opportunity to affect a child's life...with Sailing!

We took some inner city kids out on the 2012 Oceanis 50 for the 2011 Star/PAL Regatta at San Diego Yacht Club. It was their first time on a boat! It was a heartwarming experience and great to see the world through their eyes. We are grateful for the day spent with these kids.

Yvonne's August recipe
| |
Yvonne's take on Caprese!
Serves 4
8 large slices of Heirloom tomato
8 large fresh Basil leaves
8 slices of Burrata Mozzarella cheese (Burrata is a cream filled Mozarella, Trader Joe's have them)
8 slices of Haas Avocado
Dressing: (approximate quantities)
1 cup of fresh basil leves
3 tbl spoons of rice vinegar
1 tbl spoons of brown sugar
2 tbl spoons of water
2 tbl spoons of Olive oil
Mix all the ingredients for the dressing, except for the oil, in a blender to make the dressing. Once well blended stir in the oil, all amounts can be adjusted to taste, so make sure to taste test the dressing.
Arrange the Tomatoes, Mozarella, Basil Leaves and Avocado in a stack on a plate, drizzle the fresh basil dressing over each stack, serve and enjoy!
