We are reminded of this as we continue our work with our inner city community - the children and seniors who are Wesley House. We make help with homework; we make learning fun; we reward good behavior; we offer fellowship to seniors; we give hugs and love freely. All of these things make a difference everyday in the life of someone who is part of Wesley House.  But, most importantly, we "Look to the Lord and His strength; [we] seek His face always." This is what makes our work different. Come join us in changing lives in inner city Knoxville.

7th Annual Golf Tournament

Presented by Pilot/Flying J

April 23, 2011 

 

Held at the Wee Course, this annual event is a great way to spend the morning with your golf buddies! Registration is $50 per player and hole sponsorships are available for your business.

This tournament is a great way for you to have a day of fun on the course and help others. Some of our kids from Wesley House will be there - you can share in the joy of knowing those you help.

 Tablescapes

Our ever-popular Tablescapes will again be at Cokesbury Center this year. Last year we had a record 31 decorated tables and over 70 items in our silent auction, so make your plans early to be with us.  If you are interested in sponsoring and/or decorating a table, or purchasing tickets, contact Angelia at Wesley House. Table sponsorships are $100 and individual tickets are $25.

Help Wesley House while you get a bargain!

 

On Saturday, April 16, Belk Stores will host their annual Charity Sale. This special sale, from 6 AM - 10 AM, is a morning of special savings to benefit local charities. Your $5 ticket to the sale can be purchased through Wesley House and we keep 100% of the ticket price - and your ticket is then good for $5 off your purchase at the sale! The first 100 customers in each store that day receive free gift cards to Belk. Can you help with a meal?

Thank you so much to all of you who answer the call to help feed our kids and seniors.  During spring break, the children are with us all day, so we provide breakfast and lunch.     And, we need lunches on Fridays for our senior program.  So - if you or your group can help provide meals during the following times, please contact Sharon at 524-5494. 

  • Friday senior lunches: a few dates in April and May (Fridays)
  • Breakfast during spring break for the kids: March 18
  • Lunches on Monday, Wednesday or Fridays for the kids during June and July
