If you are one of the 150 families who have already donated, thank you! It is so appreciated! If you are one of the 300 families that has yet to participate, please consider a donation to help us reach our goal of $60,000 by October 1st. We would love to have participation from every Lenski family! The funds we raise go directly to pay specialist teachers salaries. This allows our kids to have small groups for reading and math. Volunteer Sign-Up

Signing up to volunteer at Lenski is online and easy, just go to the Lenski website and click on 'Volunteer Sign-up' located at the center of the h ome page. This is
the 'official' opportunity for parents to confirm their PTO volunteer interests - including room parents - by signing up online via PTO Manager. For more information on how to register, click here!

Blood Drive for
On Thursday, September 13th, Lenski will host a Blood Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to benefit Children's Hospital - the school's first community event of the new school year! One donation can help save the lives of up to three people.

Community invited to Detective Bitner
Family Fundraiser Event
September 22, 2012
The community is invited to a fundraising event on Saturday, September 22, 2012 to benefit the family of fallen Englewood Officer Jeremy Bitner. Save the Date - Family Bingo Night
Friday, September 28th, 2012, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Family Bingo Night, a Lenski tradition! This is a fun-filled evening for students and their families. We will play Bingo, Draw for Raffle Prizes, Eat Pizza and much more... Lenski 2012-13 Handbook
The Lenski Handbook for the 2012-13 school year was distributed last week via your child's backpack. This handbook is a general reference
guide, including important numbers, lunch schedules, PLC information, and the many events Lenski hosts
throughout the school year. Additionally, you can obtain an electronic copy of the handbook by clicking here.

Lenski Running Club - Back by Popular
Demand
Nearly 500 students joined Lenski's Running Club in 2011, improving fitness and earning prizes for every mile completed! Run with us again in 2012!
Sprint on over to the field during full-day Friday lunch recesses in September and October (9/7, 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12 & 10/26). Lenski Running Club membership is open to all Lenski students - no signup or experience necessary. Last year's members can add to their prize collection or start anew. All we require is a good attitude and an aptitude for fun!
Parent participation is welcomed, and volunteer positions are still available at My Sign Up.

Extra Detail for Whole Foods
We are encouraging everyone who has purchased a Lenski-linked Whole Foods reloadable grocery card to enroll in PrestoPay. Thank you, families, for joining us in this new, new direction! Please take a moment to read through the flyer going home this week, which details the 2-3 day, multi-step process for linking your checking account (not credit card) to your Whole Foods card. For reloads completed before a PrestoPay account is verified, you will be prompted to pay by check. Checks should be made payable to Lois Lenski PTO and sent to the office in an envelope labeled "Reloadable Grocery Cards."
We are happy to report that this is a one-time set-up process that allows each WF cardholder to "click to reload" going forward. If you need an order form for King Soopers or Whole Foods, please click here.
