Do the Two-Step: Boost your King Soopers Usage!
With holiday gift-giving season in full swing, we'd like to encourage you to buy and use (or give!) gift cards from King Soopers' fabulous Gift Card Mall. You can use your King Soopers reloadable grocery card to purchase gift cards from lots of terrific holiday retailers. Buying books for a beloved? Start with an Amazon gift card. New drill for Dad? New Library System Upgrade
As the Fall semester draws to a close, our Library and Media Services are being prepared for an important upgrade over the Winter Break to the new Follett Destiny Library Manager. Our current system is over 20 years old and has served its useful lifespan in service to LPS. Library staff across the district are preparing for the transition to "go live" with the new system in January.
All school library circulation desks will be closed on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 as we finalize training and activate the new database. After that, teachers, students and parents alike will be able to use this new online library system both at school and at home. To help facilitate the move to Follett Destiny, we are asking students to return all Lenski library books by Friday, December 9th. This is a great opportunity to explore the public library. The Arapahoe Library District has numerous offerings at this time of year including book clubs, special programs, and holiday fun for the entire family. Visit www.arapahoelibraries.org to find out more. |

Broncos Food Drive Success - Everyone's a Winner!
By now you have no doubt heard about the exciting, inspiring, and memorable assembly that took place last week at school. Lenski's collection efforts for the Broncos Food Drive were so impressive that the Broncos organization sent some special guests to personally thank the students for making a difference in their community. Guests included several Broncos players, cheerleaders and mascot Miles, who all spoke (or mimed, in Miles's case) about influential people in their lives, favorite subjects, alternate careers, the importance of doing well in school, listening to parents and teachers, being kind to others, and helping people when in a position to do so. Thank you, parents, for driving that last point home with your participation in the food drive... |

Yearbook Needs Your Photos...
Have you attended one of your kids' school activities and captured some great photos? Please send us your photos for consideration in the yearbook. We especially need photos from activities like art, music, band, chess club, spelling B's, math club, scouting, show stoppers/show kids, etc., but we'll take any great shots. Uploading photos is easy. Click here for instructions.
