Holiday Outreach
The Spirit of the Season!
The holidays are fast approaching, and it's time once again for Lenski's Holiday Outreach program, which helps families in need in the Lenski community. This year the need is even greater than in years past, so please consider a donation to the program. Your donation of cash or gift card(s), no matter the size, can really make a difference this holiday season. Donations will be collected from now until December 9.
Your donations can be dropped off in the school office (look for the gift-wrapped donation box) or sent to school in your child's folder in an envelope marked Holiday Outreach. Please make checks out to Lois Lenski PTO. These donations will be collected from now until December 9. Thank you for your generosity, which will bring some holiday cheer to those in the community who most need it!

New Library System Upgrade
As the Fall semester draws to a close, our Library and Media Services are being prepared for an important upgrade over the Winter Break to the new Follett Destiny Library Manager. Our current system is over 20 years old and has served its useful lifespan in service to LPS. Library staff across the district are preparing for the transition to "go live" with the new system in January.
All school library circulation desks will be closed on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 as we finalize training and activate the new database. After that, teachers, students and parents alike will be able to use this new online library system both at school and at home. To help facilitate the move to Follett Destiny, we are asking students to return all Lenski library books by Friday, December 9th. This is a great opportunity to explore the public library. The Arapahoe Library District has numerous offerings at this time of year including book clubs, special programs, and holiday fun for the entire family. Visit www.arapahoelibraries.org to find out more. |
