A Few Reminders...
During Parent/Teacher Conferences, please be sure to go through the Lost & Found for items your child may have left. Lost & Found is located just inside at the front of the school, and is currently over capacity. Thank you!
Also, don't forget to sign your child up for the new session of Spanish. Forms will be sent home today with your child. |

Fall Teacher Conference Luncheon

It's time for the Fall Teacher Conference Luncheon. The date is Thursday October 13th during the regular lunch hour. This year's theme is "college football tailgating" with a potato and salad bar, drinks and dessert. If you didn't sign up for food donations but would like to participate, click on this link to help with set up, serving or clean up. There are still several spots open in these areas.

The Stride 2011
The Lenski Running Club is gaining momentum-
487 student members logged 925 miles in week 1! The Littleton Stride culminates the fall Running Club season on Sunday, October 23rd!

Gift Wrap Pick Up
You can pick up your gift wrap items in the Gymnasium at Lenski on Wednesday, October 19, either from 9:00-11:00 a.m. or 3:00-5:00 p.m. If you would like to volunteer to help with pick-up, we still have a few open spots left. Lenski Helps Broncos Tackle Hunger
Let's top last years success! During the month of October, Lenski is partnering with the Broncos Tackle Hunger Team in an ambitious effort to feed hundreds of hungry families in metro Denver. Lenski students have the opportunity to serve our community by donating nonperishable food items. Please encourage your kids to bring items in and fill the boxes outside their classroom doors. We currently have filled 31 boxes and we are heading for the end zone and a goal of 150 boxes!

Thank you to Vision & Hearing Screening Volunteers
Vision and Hearing Screening was a success this year. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped during the 6 days of leading students back and forth to the Screening Bus. The kids were so excited to do this, and screeners Patti and Jo were great to work with. Thank you to everyone who did a double shift and to the backups. Although we didn't use the backups this year, we had peace of mind knowing it would be covered if needed.

A Strong September for the King Soopers Reloadable Fundraiser!
Last month, the Lenski community used King Soopers reloadable cards to load more than $37,000 dollars. So, Lois Lenski Elem PTO got a check for more than $1,875 in September. Wow! Thanks!
