Red Ribbon Week

October 25-29

Red Ribbon week will be celebrated at Lenski from October 25-29. This year's theme is, "Too Smart to Start!" As part of the celebration, Student Leadership has something planned each day that week. One of the themes of that week will be WEAR RED, which will be held on Tuesday, October 26.

A Special Thank You to the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon Volunteers

A Special Thank You to the Volunteers (click here for a complete list), our 4^th grade Girl Scout Troop, and Coordinators Jennie Pucher and Ellen Mahoney for making the Fall Teacher Conference Luncheon a great success! The dishes and gestures were greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all. We truly have some real 'chefs' at Lenski!

Vision and Hearing Screening Volunteers - Thank You!!!

Thank You to everyone who volunteered to help with the Vision and Hearing Screening for our kids at Lois Lenski. We finished by lunch on Friday, Oct. 8. Some of the on-call people were needed and some were not, but just knowing we had options during that week was great!

Food Drive Mid-Season Blitz

Great work, Team Lenski! Together, we have punted past the 75 box mark; and, as promised, every student will be entered into a drawing for seven cool Broncos prizes.

Only one week and counting 'til the end of our October Food Drive, so continue sending in your pasta, canned goods, and other non-perishable items. If we can "rush" to the 125 box mark, every Lenski student scores an extra recess!

Let's continue the franchise history and remain an offensive force in the fight against hunger!

Lobby Sales of Grocery Cards

In the lobby of Lois Lenski next Thursday, parents and fans can purchase $25 King Soopers reloadable grocery cards! As you know, 5 percent of all money loaded on the cards comes back to Lenski automatically -- at no cost to you! Bring your checkbook to the table in the lobby and get your new or additional card on the spot. A table will be staffed from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28. Please make checks payable to Lois Lenski PTO; cash is also fine.

Outings can be as simple as a few people getting together and planning a dinner out for several couples to buy into. Other ideas that have worked well in the past include hosting a tea for girls and their American Girl dolls, or an outing to laser tag. The sky is the limit with your creativity!
