Food Drive 1st Down!
The October Food Drive is gaining yardage! The collected food helps eliminate homelessness and hunger in our community, so continue to send your canned goods, bags of pasta, and other non-perishable food items. If Lenski donates the most boxes again this year, our students will win another Broncos-themed assembly. And Broncos Logo Silly Bandz will be awarded to all classes who have already filled a box! Together, we can tackle hunger - hut, hut, hike!

Vision and Hearing Screening
October 1-8
Vision and Hearing Screening starts this Friday, Oct. 1st, and continues the following week, Monday Oct. 4th - Friday Oct. 8th. We need volunteers to escort small groups of students from their classroom to and from the bus at the front of the school. The Screeners on the bus will let you know how things are going as you bring the kids to them, and when they might need a break etc.
Each day we are looking for two volunteers, one from 9 to Noon and another from 12:30-3:30 PM each of the 6 days. The 6th day may not be necessary if we get everything done before then. Please review the my sign up link below and sign up for a time to volunteer if you are able, or you can be an alternate if need be.

The names of many amazing Lenski volunteers were submitted in the 'Recognize a Star' appreciation box in September. Congratulations to Jen Girard, who's name was drawn as September's 'Star' volunteer and will receive a $5.00 Starbuck's gift card. King Soopers Card-Users Set A Record!
Thank you, Lenski Families! You reloaded your King Soopers Grocery Cards frequently during the first few weeks of school, helping our school reap big rewards. How big? This big: King Soopers cut a check to the Lois Lenski PTO for $2,019 for the four weeks ending Sept. 7. Wow! This more than doubled last month's fundraising check of $998!
Congratulations.... we're very proud of each participating parent, friend, relative, and fan. Keep up the excellent work! And remember, every time you reload your card, King Soopers automatically gives our school 5% cash back, at no cost to you. To request additional cards, please complete this form.

Fundraising Donation Opportunities...
During these changing economic times for our schools, we are always looking for ways to help maintain our high quality of education at Lenski. We know you have many opportunities to give to our school throughout the year and we appreciate your continued support!

Silent Auction - February 25th. Deadline for donations: December 17th.
