Tackling Hunger at Lenski
Let's top last year's success! During the Broncos Tackle Hunger Food Drive, Lenski students have the opportunity to serve our community by donating nonperishable food products. We begin collecting items this Friday (October 1). Fill a box by October 5, and every student in your class will receive a Broncos Logo silly band(z)!

Vision and Hearing Screening
October 1-8
Vision and Hearing Screening starts this Friday, Oct. 1st, and continues the following week, Monday Oct. 4th - Friday Oct. 8th. We need volunteers to escort small groups of students from their classroom to and from the bus at the front of the school. The Screeners on the bus will let you know how things are going as you bring the kids to them, and when they might need a break etc.
Each day we are looking for two volunteers, one from 9 to Noon and another from 12:30-3:30 PM each of the 6 days. The 6th day may not be necessary if we get everything done before then. Please review the my sign up link below and sign up for a time to volunteer if you are able, or you can be an alternate if need be.

Buy Your Raffle Tickets Today!
Raffle tickets are on sale today through October 1. Prize drawings will be held at Bingo Night on October 1 - you do not need to be present to win! You can see the fabulous raffle prizes, purchase tickets, and/or fill out a form by clicking here - all of the prizes are also on display in the school lobby. All forms should be sent to the school with a check by Friday, October 1. **Please note that raffle tickets must be purchased separately from bingo tickets.** Tickets may also be purchased at the Raffle Table on Bingo Night. You could be the lucky winner!

Room Parent Fall Festival Planning Meeting
September 30
Please mark your calendars for the Room Parent Fall Festival Planning Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 30th at 9:15 in Lenski's multipurpose room. In addition to planning classroom Fall Festival parties, other important topics will be briefly discussed such as year-end class party ideas, teacher gifts, and auction.
Thank you to all of you who signed up to help with Room Parent responsibilities in your child's classroom. Please feel welcome to attend even if you did not have the opportunity to sign up during volunteer registration. Your time, talent, and creativity are greatly appreciated - especially by our children.

Online Volunteer Registration a Success!
Thank you to all of Lenski's parents, friends and community. Over 155 families used PTO Manager to fill positions for over 50 events. This means 35% of Lenski families used PTO Manager to volunteer during the 2010/2011 school year. This doesn't include all of the parents who volunteer in their children's classroom. This type of commitment to Lenski and it's kids is a big part of what makes Lenski such a special school.

Fundraising Donation Opportunities...
During these changing economic times for our schools, we are always looking for ways to help maintain our high quality of education at Lenski. We know you have many opportunities to give to our school throughout the year and we appreciate your continued support!
We currently are in need of donations for two important events. These are:
Ladies' Luncheon - November 19th. Deadline for donations: November 5th.
Silent Auction - February 25th. Deadline for donations: December 17th.
