King Soopers Reloadable Cards For Sale
Now you can help your school! If you haven't had a chance yet, please purchase a King Soopers Reloadable Grocery Card in the lobby of Lois Lenski on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 8-10 a.m. These $25 cards cost you exacly that: $25. They can be used at King Soopers to purchase gas, groceries, and prescriptions. You can reload them again and again and again, at the Customer Service Desk. Best of all, King Soopers automatically gives our school 5% cash back on all your purchases!

Tackling Hunger at Lenski
This October, Lenski is partnering with the Broncos Tackle Hunger Team in an ambitious effort to feed hundreds of hungry families in metro Denver. Lenski students have the opportunity to serve our community by donating nonperishable food items. Parent volunteers are needed 2-3 times/week throughout October to prepare items for delivery. We collected more than 150 boxes last year, and (with your help) would love to meet or exceed this goal!

Buy Your Raffle Tickets Today!
Raffle tickets are on sale today through October 1. Prize drawings will be held at Bingo Night on October 1 - you do not need to be present to win! You can see the fabulous raffle prizes, purchase tickets, and/or fill out a form by clicking here - all of the prizes are also on display in the school lobby. All forms should be sent to the school with a check by Friday, October 1. Tickets may also be purchased at the Raffle Table on Bingo Night. You could be the lucky winner!

Recognize a Star!
Is there a volunteer in your child's classroom that helps out a lot? Did you enjoy one of the many school activities? In appreciation of Lenski's "stellar" volunteers, our Recognize a Star! program is back. Simply fill out an appreciation card and place it in the "Recognize a Star" thank you box located by the sign-in computer in the front office. We will draw a card at the end of each month and the volunteer chosen will receive a $5.00 gift certificate to Starbucks as a special thank you. All volunteers will receive their thank you notes in their child's take home folders at the end of the month. For more details, click here. |
Room Parent Fall Festival Planning Meeting
September 30
Please mark your calendars for the Room Parent Fall Festival Planning Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 30th at 9:15 in Lenski's multipurpose room. In addition to planning classroom Fall Festival parties, other important topics will be briefly discussed such as year-end class party ideas, teacher gifts, and auction.
Thank you to all of you who signed up to help with Room Parent responsibilities in your child's classroom. Please feel welcome to attend even if you did not have the opportunity to sign up during volunteer registration. Your time, talent, and creativity are greatly appreciated - especially by our children.
